Crown Database
Client:
Columbia University - Millstein Law Center, New York, NY
Type:
Web Application
Objective:
Create the javascript engine to visualize large sets of SEC Filing Data
Solution:
This project took us to the other side of the country with Columbia University’s Millstein Law Center in New York. While the website and database are now used internally at Columbia, and is maintained by their own crew of developers, we were contracted to create the initial JavaScript engine that presented large amounts of SEC filing data in a graphical manner using the Google Charts, and High Charts JS charting libraries.
The video on the left is a presentation of the website in it’s current form by Professor Robert Jackson, who was tasked with “an ambitious project to collect and present governance data on institutional investors and corporations”.
Technology:
JavaScript, jQuery, Google Charts, High Charts JS, HTML5, CSS3
